Nearly 25,000 households in southeastern Queensland were left lacking electricity on Monday morning after severe thunderstorms impacted the state, generating powerful gusts topping over 100 km/h.
Substantial Ice Stones and Broad Damage
Residents observed giant hailstones as large as seven centimeters in particular locations. Meteorological experts confirmed that different parts across Queensland had been impacted by large hailstones.
