Lionesses forward Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the 2025 Young Sports Star of the Year award.

The trio have been honoured for their remarkable achievements over the last year.

Agyemang helped the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the first time, and Perrin rose to fame with a record-breaking innings.

Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his sensational debut year.

The shortlisted athletes were revealed during a live broadcast on a national radio breakfast show.

The champion will be announced during a live broadcast on the annual sports awards show on Thursday, 18 December.

The show will be aired from 19:00 GMT.

Agyemang's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Only 90 days after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to European Championship victory.

She was introduced as a substitute to score crucial late equalisers in both the quarter-final and semi-final.

These match-saving moments led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.

Subsequently, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the top young European talent.

She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.

Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October.

"Being nominated for Young Sports Personality of the Year is incredible," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."

Littler's Profile

Littler's 2025 began in sensational style as - aged 17 - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.

He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.

And he wasn't finished there - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the maiden occasion.

At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, breaking the previous record.

"Earning a spot on the shortlist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a big honour," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a highlight for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue raising the profile of darts."

Perrin's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's top prospects and surged to prominence with an remarkable and historic innings in August.

Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s.

It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.

Perrin finished second in the batting rankings and was named the Professional Cricketers' Association's top young women's player.

"I'm truly honoured to be nominated for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it encourages more girls to get into cricket."
